How do I calibrate my knapsack sprayer?
Learn how to set up, adjust and use your knapsack sprayer to control the pest in the best possible way. This is calibration.
How you calibrate may be different with each product, pest and crop that you spray. Always calibrate your sprayer each time you use it. For help with calibration, select the option below that matches how your pesticide dose is advised on the label.
Use the spray mix calculator to find out how much pesticide and water you will need for this spraying task. Also find the amount of pesticide and water to be mixed in each full and part knapsack sprayer load.
- 1. A pesticide dose rate for a measured area e.g 2 L/ha: spray mix/water volume rate is known e.g. 200 L/ha
- 2. A pesticide dose rate for a measured area (e.g. 2 L/ha): spray mix/water volume rate is not known
- 3. A pesticide dose as a concentration in water - the spray mix/water volume rate to apply is known e.g. 300 L/ha.
- 4. A pesticide dose as a concentration in water - the spray mix/water volume rate to apply, is not known.
