How do I clean my Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?

Spills and splashes of pesticide on your PPE are a risk to you and can affect how well it protects. PPE must be properly cleaned (as directed by the makers) after every use. Clean your PPE properly so that it can protect you the next time that you use it. View the video 'Cleaning your PPE' to see how.

Cleaning your PPE

You must always clean your gloves before removing your PPE.

Remove your PPE carefully at the end of each spraying task

Never use home sinks, taps or laundry areas to clean your PPE.

Disposable (one use only) PPE must not be re-used or washed. If re-used, you may be exposed to pesticide from earlier use. If washed, the fabric and/or the coating of the item may be damaged and will not protect you when next used.
